Scott Powell's (Soon to be) Infamous M Street Bar
All right, peeps... No bullshit, there's a new joint in town you MUST check out. With spring (and cooler weather) well underway, patio bars are in, in, IN!
Scott Powell (Nightclub manager of Zephyr's Lounge and Urban Cowboy fame) has completed his first solo undertaking with M Street Bar. Offering absolutely fabulous (again, no bullshit) drink prices, late night weekend specials, an ambitious menu, and the best view in town of the weekend action on lower greenville, M Street is a fresh departure from your typical crapola meat-market bar.
Come as you are, but expect to see a youthful, energetic, and attractive crowd. On each of my 5 or so visits to the location since it opened back in April, I have been so innundated with prime trim that I wasn't sure which way to look.
A truly sophisticated destination for happy hours drinks with the guys/girls, live music, watching the game on the huge outdoor projection screen, mixing it up with members of the opposite sex, or just having a few quiet drinks and taking in the fresh air, M Street Bar gets my prediction for 2006's place to be on lower greenville, and for years to come.
